The Conference Finals got off to a good start on Versus.
Game 1 of the Penguins/Hurricanes Eastern Conference Finals drew a 1.0 U.S. rating (1.5 cable) and 1.7 million viewers on Versus Monday night, making the game one of the highest rated and most viewed non-Stanley Cup Final telecasts ever on Versus.
The game was not the highest rated and most viewed non-Stanley Cup Final game on Versus, as previously reported in this space; last year, Penguins/Flyers Game 2 drew a 1.8 cable rating and 2.4 million viewers.
Ratings peaked at a 1.3 (2.0 cable) and 2.2 million viewers from 9:45-10 PM.
The game “drew a 20 rating in the Pittsburgh market and a 7 rating in the Raleigh market.”
