CBS drew solid overnight ratings for Saturday’s battle of storied college basketball programs.
Georgetown’s win over Duke drew a 1.9 overnight rating on CBS Saturday. The 1.9 overnight is the second-highest for a college basketball game on CBS this season, behind only Kansas/Tennessee in January (3.1), which had the benefit of an NFL lead-in.
On Sunday, regional college basketball action featuring either Florida/Tennessee or Minnesota/Ohio St. drew a 1.4 overnight. The game was preempted in some markets due to coverage of The 700 Club telethon.
Sunday’s telecast outdrew the NHL on NBC (1.2), but trailed the NBA on ABC (2.1).
