- Darrell Waltrip: The FOX NASCAR analyst has agreed to extend his contract with the network through 2014, FOX Sports announced Monday. Waltrip joined FOX in August of 2000 and began calling races for the network in February 2001. (FOX press release from Fang’s Bites)
- Tim McCarver: Like his NASCAR colleague Waltrip, the FOX MLB analyst is expected to sign an extension with the network this week. McCarver, who joined FOX in March 1996 after stints with ABC and CBS, will stay with the network through the expiration of FOX’ current MLB deal in 2013. (USA Today)
- Bob Knight: The ESPN college basketball analyst used an expletive on-air during Saturday’s edition of College Gameday. Knight was “doing an on-court defensive drill … when he dropped the phrase ‘chicken [expletive] defense’ live on air.” ESPN host Rece Davis made a brief apology. (New York Daily News)
