After nearly a year off of the sidelines, Turner Sports’ Craig Sager is set to make his comeback in just over a week.
Sager has been cleared to return to work and has been assigned to the March 5 Thunder/Bulls game on TNT, his son announced on Twitter Wednesday. Turner Sports has yet to make an official announcement, though it notably left the sideline reporter position for the game vacant in a recent announcer listing.
Thunder/Bulls will be Sager’s first assignment since he was diagnosed with leukemia last April, and only his third TV appearance. Most recently, he appeared via satellite on TNT’s NBA All-Star pregame show, interviewing Knicks F Carmelo Anthony.
Sager will also be on the sidelines for Turner Sports and CBS coverage of the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
